I started using some of the communication tips, and my manager asked me to lead the weekly meeting. That had never happened in the three years I have been on the team.
Why I created this course.
After working in human resources for more than 20 years, and as a consultant for the last 10, there is one question I am asked more than any other. How do I move to the next level in my HR career? The answer is not the same for everyone. It depends on where you are starting and where you want to go. But over the years, I have seen a few factors show up again and again for HR professionals who do get promoted. You need a clear plan. Promotions are rarely accidental. You need the right skills for the role you want, not just the role you have today. And you need to be visible to the people who make promotion decisions. This course was created to address all three. I see many smart, hardworking HR professionals doing solid work year after year, adding responsibilities and building skills, yet still feeling stuck or overlooked. Not because they are doing anything wrong, but because no one ever taught them how promotions in HR actually work. This course is for that person.
